Feel free to leave your zine inside the clubhouse for someone else to take and take one left behind by someone else. In this way we create connections in our community. “Sometimes you may only have a little to give of yourself, other times you have more, but you give what you can and take what you need.”

MEET YOUR GUIDE

Nicole Gruszecki is a visual artist from Calgary, Alberta who taps into her horror punk DIY roots for inspiration. Currently, she creates zines (mini self-published magazines), comics, drawings and paintings to bring joy to the people that engage with her work. Nicole’s zines are often mini love letters to the things in life she engages with most. Such as, horror movies, music, animals and videogames. Her art often has a nostalgic feel to it, pulling imagery from patterns, 80s VHS tapes, classic science fiction and traditional comic book aesthetics. She works in a variety of mediums including paint, ink, markers, collage and digital art.
